Head Coach: Bob Martin
Bob Martin returns for his 31st season as head coach for the Upper Darby Royals. Bob, a 1969 graduate and West Chester University product, began teaching health and physical education in Upper Darby schools in 1973 and is currently serving in an administrative capacity as lead teacher at the HS. Prior to taking the helm at UD in 1981, Bob coached for 7 years at Beverly Hills Jr. HS. In addition to wrestling, Bob has just completed his 32nd and final year as defensive coordinating coach for the Upper Darby Royals. In 1994, Bob coached his 1st Central League championship wrestling team and would repeat this accomplishment for six more years between 1997-2001, not including a 7th title in 2010. During Bob’s long career he has coached 66 sectional champs, 21 district champs, 4 region champs, and 10 state place winners. Bob coached his first state champion in 2001, the second state champ in UD history. His impressive career record stands at 318-146-7.

Asst. Coach: Dennis Mejias
The UD program is again fortunate to be under the volunteer tutelage of Dennis Mejias. Dennis has achieved as a wrestler, some of the most sought after goals for which a wrestler strives. In 1983, Dennis was a NY State Champ and the following year NY freestyle State Champ. In 1987, Dennis wrestled his way to All-American status at Division I Wilkes University. He was also a 4x place winner at the Eastern National Qualifiers. Not long after, Dennis was inducted into the Wilkes University Hall of Fame.
